QUICK RECOVERY MAMA

Humble background you were raised,
Absolute poverty,hunger you survived,
A doorstep to school never saw,
Wasted brains and intelligence in you,
Reading and writing became so new.

At tender age you engaged,
At nineteen dad married,
Come-we-stay you started life,
Your ears so deaf to neighbors' laugh,
Together you have gone through,
Hard and tough times though.

Five girls and a boy you bore,
Angry in-laws could not bare,
Contrary to customs you educated,
Your fives girls so sophisticated,
A teacher,nurse,bankers they are,
All because you stood there,
Despite the in-laws' blows,
Dad's love always glows.

On that sick bed as you lie,
We left with nothing but cry,
As we cannot control our tears,
Our hearts are filled with fears,
For your sickness not natural,
Local chemistry after all.

May God see you through,
Your long illness so severe,
In Him we trust and hope,
Forever you will live,
That we believe.
We loved you yesterday,
We love you today,
We will love you tomorrow,
As long as you live,
Forever in our hearts you live.
Quick recovery mama.
